What Lay May Sey...

Selah has her first new tooth!

It is on the bottom left, I think. In the cry room at church yesterday Shae and I were talking, and Selah was chewing on my thumb. I noticed she had a very sharp bottom gum. It then dawned on me that it was a tiny tooth! We peeked in and there was that cute litter incisor. Yay, but at the same time :-( She is eight months old now. Baby girl is growing up...

What Lay May Sey...

Tuesday we went to the coast. We went out to eat at a diner and right as we sat down to order I realized number 2 happened in Selah's drawers and was all over her outfit. I had to go to the car to clean it up. We had a nice lunch otherwise. We then went to Walmart where we picked up some more wipes because I used up every single wipe I had to get her cleaned up. Next we went to Bandon and found a good deal at Best Western. We could even see the ocean from our window. We put Selah in a baby backpack, and Mason carried her down a trail to the beach. Wow! It was extremely windy. Too windy for a baby so we walked back to the hotel. We then went to Subway for dinner. We drove to Shore Acres and thought we might see some roses, but there was not a single rose. I thought that was weird. We took a couple pictures of us together. There were pretty rhodys though. That was nice. We also had fun watching Selah try to climb up the stairs. She also had fun trying to catch pinecones. We went to Sunset Bay at 8pm. Well, while Mason was in the bathroom I happened to locked our keys in the car! Praise God that I had Selah in my arms. We did not realize that they lock the gate at 8! Poor Mason had to walk to the Ranger station to use their phone to get a locksmith to come out to unlock the car for us. Poor Selah was freezing. God sent a nice elderly couple named Paul and Linda at just the right time so that Selah and I could wait in their warm trailer. God is so good. Finally after 10pm the locksmith was able to get the stubborn door open. We then went to our hotel where Selah was so wound up she would not go to bed until midnight. She then woke up at 1 screeming. She woke up numerous times. She woke up at 7am, and I am afraid I could not handle it anymore. I told Mason that I never wanted to spend the night in a hotel again, and we packed up and went home. I am afraid I was not much fun at that point. I am so glad that husbands, daughters, and God forgive.

What Lay May Sey...

Hello, loved ones!
Hopefully, you will find some encouragement, new pictures, and updates here as Selah lets me. God is teaching us daily how to be good parents. We are totally in love with our little girl. She amazes us each day with her awe of the world. She reminds me to be in awe, and I am mostly in awe of her. We are so blessed. She is learning so much so fast. She is now crawling. She is learning to like solid food. It is taking a while, but I think she finally likes it. Here are a few pictures of our outing yesterday.
