Mye finally had her 9 month appointment at nearly 10 and a half months. It was late due to her doctor going on vacation and then our vacation trip to see Mason's dad got in the way. I have been dying to get her in to have her weight checked. I knew she was kind of skinny so I tried to feed her more solids this past month, but apparently it was not enough. Height 27.5 in. 26th percentile. Head 18 in. 83 percentile. (Big head:) She weighs 16lb 4 1/2oz. She is in the 3rd percentile! In 4 months she gained only 3/4 of a pound. Now for us that is rediculous! We are big people. I felt terrible! The Dr. told me to stop breastfeeding and go to straight formula, but I can't quite yet. She has been very healthy and has been doing very well. I know I have milk, but it apparently is not doing the trick. I am going to continue to breastfeed but offer her a tippy cup of formula afterward. Since yesterday she has been drinking 3-4 oz each time I breastfeed. I am praying that that will help. I will give her more if she wants it. I will continue to feed her more food as I have been doing. I had planned to breastfeed until she turned 1. We will see.
Tash has a membership pass to Wildlife Safari so we took a lunch, ate it there, and then drove through. 3 huge bison hemmed us in for a loooong 5 min. One just stood there staring at us and sniffing our car hood. I am sure we were annoying the people behind us, but I was not about to nudge the beasts out of the way! It was hilarious. Sey had a blast.
