What Lay May Sey...
We had a fun day Saturday at the park. Selah is getting good at standing.
It was hilarious. She was holding on to her Daddy's pants and lost her hold and did a slow motion fall. She landed like this with this expression. What was really funny was that she laid there like that for a minute. That night we found out that she now has her right lateral incisor. She did not want to go to sleep until midnight. She is actually crying right now so I better go get her. That was a short nap. Poor little toofers.

What Lay May Sey...
Yesterday morning Selah was busy in her high chair with a little cup I had given her after she had eaten half a nectarine and some banana bread for breakfast. I opened the fridge and got myself a piece of banana bread too, and I popped it into the micro because I like it warm. I got busy cleaning the kitchen since she was quiet for the moment. Well... I turned around and this is what I saw!
That exactly mimicked my expression, I think! She grabbed the half eaten yogurt out of the door of the fridge when I grabbed the banana bread and had a blast.
She got every last drop out! I love that girl! I gathered her up, and took her to have a big girl bath in the tub. She is finally taking big girl baths since my back is doing so well. Well, I whipped off her diaper and a chunk of poop plopped on the floor! Yay, another mess. Then I accidentally stepped in it. Uggg! I had to laugh.

What Lay May Sey...
I took Selah in for a weight check today. She weighs 17 lb 12.5 oz. Well, she is still in the 11th percentile so Dr Sharp wanted her weighed again in a month. She has been eating anything and everything from fruits, veggies, solid dairy, meat, to breads. She is also still breast fed. We went up to Moogie and Gumpy's today, and Selah had only a half hour nap. She has too much fun up there to sleep. Tonight she had bad gas. Not sure what that was from. Both Mason and I felt like crying with her. It really hurt. Poor baby girl.

What Lay May Sey...
"Babies Don't Keep"
Mother, of Mother, come shake out your cloth
empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
hang out the washing and butter the bread,
sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(lullaby, rockabye, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
